2025 marks 20 years since we began breeding White Suffolks, & we’re proud to be hosting our 10th on-property sale.

What started as a small dream, backed by an unwavering interest in livestock has grown into something far greater than we have ever imagined. As we reflect on two decades of breeding, we want to sincerely thank all our clients – both new and long-standing – for your continued support. Your trust in our genetics has been the foundation of everything we’ve achieved.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the many people who have offered guidance, encouragement, and honest advice along the way. From mentors and fellow breeders, to friends and family, your support has helped shape our direction and driven us to keep lifting the bar. It’s been a rewarding journey so far – and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead.

We’re commercial farmers, just like you, and that’s why our focus has always been simple: Breed reliable, high-performing sheep that deliver in the paddock, the sale yards, and beyond. Our genetics are built for real-world conditions, with performance, profitability, and practicality at their core. Our rams are paddock-ready, and we back them to go straight to work.

This year’s draft of 120 Elite White Suffolk Rams is the tightest and most even line we’ve ever offered. Carefully selected, performance recorded, and ready to go. Another tough season raised the bar again. If they didn’t meet the mark, they didn’t make the cut. This means you can buy with even more confidence, whether you’re chasing early suckers or heavy export weights, we’ve got the depth and consistency to back your program. These rams are bred to perform when the pressures on.

In a year where the season’s been tough and margins are tighter than ever, demand for quality lamb remains high – with record prices proving there’s still strong reward for those who back themselves with top genetics. While the challenges are real, the future outlook favours those who choose to adapt and believe in the long-term game.

We’re proud to offer the first sons of “Farrer 220062”, (purchased in partnership with Anden Stud for $30,200) a standout genetic investment, with progeny impressively showing the type of animal that finishes well and suits the modern lamb markets.

The influence of OMAD 210290 is strong again this year – a heavily proven stud sire, whose progeny consistently deliver the kind of commercial performance and profitability traits for the producer. Also well represented is Ashmore 221308, used via AI, has bred a very tidy line of sound rams, stamping his progeny with plenty of muscle, length, and shape.

Breeding Focus Update

After much consideration, and trying to simplify our business, we have chosen to stop breeding the Ultra White X White Suffolk Rams. The last four will be offered in this year’s sale. While we have always appreciated their qualities, demand has been limited. This decision has led us to focus solely on breeding White Suffolks which allows us to concentrate on what the market values most and continue delivering quality, consistent rams for commercial and stud clients alike.

This year I have been selected to judge the ewe section at The Royal Adelaide Show – a great honour and a proud achievement in my career. Being nominated by fellow breeders makes this opportunity especially meaningful, and I am looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Another special family milestone in 2025 – Damo, Nikki, Rosie and Raya are thrilled to welcome their third child, Dusty Geoffrey Hawker, in June. We’ve settled in well as a family of five and are enjoying this new chapter together.

A selection of rams will be on display at Hamilton Sheep vention, and showing at Adelaide Royal Show and Bendigo Elite Show & Sale.

All rams are structurally sound, Brucellosis Accredited, OJD Vaccinated, Drenched, 6-in-1 Vaccinated, Backlined, and have ASBV figures available. Prior inspection of rams is always welcome – strictly via appointment. You can also view the rams on AuctionsPlus.
