500 merino wth lambs averaging 40.5kg at assessment. They are July / August drop and were shorn on the 12/02/26. After shearing they were drenched and backlined with encore. The vendor purchased Nareen Station and Mountain Dam ewes and joined them to Nareeb and Pooginook Merino rams. Ram selection has been strongly focused on carcass traits, breeding for plainer, straighter and meatier animal. These are the top 500 lambs out of 1200. Approx 40% of the lambs have small horns, see photos. They have all been grazing summer crop (Brassica) since early Jan. They have plenty of leg and stretch, they are just lacking the fat cover which will come with protein. Well bred merino lambs.
