Vendor bred Angus weaner steers, that were bred on lighter Rocky River country (40km east of Tenterfield) and trucked to Vendor's Tenterfield property for assessment and weaning. Steers weighed from 224 - 345kg to average 287.8kg after being taken off their mothers on Sunday, trucked home on Monday and accessed on Tuesday . Please make own assessment on weight loss for yard weaning, they will have access to lucerne/liverseed hay. Cattle are generally worked with horses and dogs and were fine to handle during assessment with their limited handling. These weaners will have a good compensatory weight gain.
